Fife Capital was established by Allan Fife in 2006.
Executives of Fife Capital comprise specialists in property, accounting and finance and are a cohesive team of professionals committed to the ideals and investment philosophy of the Group. Each executive has substantial experience in real estate asset management, complex and substantial transactions and property development.
Members of the management team have concluded over $4 billion in real estate capital transactions since 1998 and initiated over $700 million in development projects since 1994. The same executives have undertaken and managed portfolio disposal transactions valued at over $2.65 billion.
| Allan Fife |
Allan Fife is Chief Investment Officer of the Group and a member of the investment committee of its managed funds. Prior to the establishment of Fife Capital in 2006, he was a director and founder of the property group of Grant Samuel. At Grant Samuel he was responsible for the group's advisory, financing and development activities and had overall responsibility for its direct investment and property investment management. Allan is Chairman of Anglican Retirement Villages, one of the largest aged care providers in Australia. He is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Economics and Finance, College of Business at the University of Western Sydney. He is a registered property valuer and a member of the Australian Property Institute. He is a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Commerce (Hons) and Doctor of Philosophy. |
| Michael Allen |
Michael Allen is an executive member of the investment committee of Terra Australis Property Fund and Chairman of the Group's Compliance Committee. Michael recently retired as a Partner in the Sydney office at Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he specialised in major property projects and developments with an emphasis on mixed-use, tourist, industrial and urban development projects. Michael has 30 years of experience in strata and community title law and practice and is a leading authority on airspace (stratum title) projects, planned communities, strata and cluster titles, community titles and strata leasehold titles. Michael was nominated in the area of Real Estate by Chambers Global Guide 2009 and recommended in Asia Pacific Legal 500 2008/2009. Chambers Global Guide 2009 describes Michael as "one of the best titling experts in the country". Michael is a former lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney and occasional lecturer at the University of New South Wales. He is a regular speaker at industry related seminars, a fellow of the Australian Property Institute and a founding fellow of the Australian College of Community Association Lawyers Inc. |
| Keir Barnes |
Keir Barnes was a founding member of Fife Capital and is principally responsible for transactions and financing assignments. Keir has undertaken and has considerable experience in a range of business and portfolio divestments, project finance assignments, sale and leaseback transactions and has overseen the establishment and management of a number of property funds and investments, including Terra Australis Property Fund. Prior to joining Fife Capital, Keir was an executive in Grant Samuel's property division. At Grant Samuel, Keir was involved in a range of property investment banking transactions and managed the group's property funds and investments. Keir started her professional career as an accountant and has extensive tax, structuring and accounting experience. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and is completing a MBA (Executive) at the Australia Graduate School of Management and London Business School. |
| Ben Fife |
Ben Fife leads the direct investment team at Fife Capital, a role he has held since 2007. He is responsible for acquisitions by the group and administers the value enhancement strategies adopted for portfolio assets. Since joining Fife Capital, Ben has been principally responsible for an investment and development portfolio with a completed value of more than $650 million. Prior to joining Fife Capital, Ben was an executive at Walker Corporation. His nine years at Walker Corporation included periods in both the Medium Density Residential Division and Residential Communities Division where he grew the Walker land bank with the acquisition of various properties totalling approximately 3,000Ha of future residential land. His last role with Walker was as joint manager of the NSW Commercial/Industrial Division. Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Property Economics) from the University of Western Sydney, a Diploma in Business from Sydney Graduate School of Management and has completed the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. |
| Tony Hall |
Tony has been advising Fife Capital clients since 2009. He has a non-executive advisory role spanning investment strategy, corporate governance and investment portfolio construction. Tony serves on client and investment committees and oversights the implementation of client mandates. Tony is a highly experienced executive having worked in the real estate and funds management industry for over 20 years. During his career he has held senior positions at Macquarie Bank (Division Director, Property Investment Banking), Deutsche Asset Management (Senior Vice President) and Perpetual Limited. Tony has a Diploma of Business (Val) from The Sydney Institute, and is a Licensed Real Estate Agent. |
| Michael Wiseman |
Michael Wiseman joined Fife Capital's direct investment team in 2010 and is principally involved in project and development management. Prior to joining Fife Capital, Michael spent five years in Dubai with Majid Al Futtain Properties and Clifton Coney Group. During his time in Dubai Michael acted as development manager on major residential, retail and mixed use developments in the United Arab Emirates and Syria valued at more than $4 billion. Prior to his time in Dubai, Michael was a project manager responsible for a number of retail, residential and refurbishments projects, most notably, the heritage retail refurbishment of the iconic Queen Victoria Building in the Sydney CBD. Michael started his career as an engineer and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Sydney. |
| Gareth Sneade |
Gareth Sneade joined Fife Capital in 2007 as an executive in Fife Capital's direct investment team. He is principally involved in development management, project management and the financial analysis of a portfolio of real estate assets. Gareth has extensive project analysis experience in development feasibility modelling and valuations across projects throughout Australia, United Kingdom and the Middle East. Gareth has been involved in several multi-billion dollar projects throughout Dubai such as the 200 hectare Downtown Jebel Ali project near the Dubai waterfront. Gareth started his career in the UK as a chartered surveyor in the valuation and management of rural property. Gareth has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Land Management from the University of Reading and is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. |
| Nick Bradley |
Nick Bradley is a member of Fife Capital's direct investment team where he is involved in the administration of acquisitions, development management and disposal of real estate assets. Nick was previously with Goodman International where he gained experience in both capital transactions and property management with a focus on industrial real estate located in the inner and outer western regions of Sydney. Nick holds a Bachelor of Business (Property) from the University of Western Sydney and is a registered property valuer. |
| Margot Jones |
Margot Jones is principally responsible for property and securities research and analysis. In addition, Margot has been involved in a number of transactions including business and asset divestments, strategic reviews and assisting in the managed work out of distressed investments. Prior to joining Fife Capital in 2007, Margot was an executive in the Property Investment Management division of Grant Samuel where she was responsible for the ongoing management of the Group's property development and investment funds. Prior to her career at Grant Samuel, Margot was an analyst in the Corporate Finance division of Chartered Accounting and advisory firm BDO, where she provided valuation, due diligence and other financial services to a variety of property companies including listed property trusts. Margot holds a Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a member of the CFA Institute. |
| Mary O'Gorman |
Mary O'Gorman joined Fife Capital in July 2007 and is responsible for the Group's accounting and finance matters. With over 20 years in the accounting sector, Mary has experience in the funds management industry, having worked for six years for a large property fund manager. Mary started her professional career in a large accounting firm in Dublin, where she held the role of audit manager. Mary holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma in Professional Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. |
